The Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) concluded its string of ‘Mobile Services’ conducted at various Regimental Headquarters, held to resolve grievances of disabled War Heroes with its final programme on Thursday (7) at Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) Headquarters at Rock House Camp in Mutwal, the mother unit of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya.
President, SVAB Mrs. Manjulika Jayasuriya, accompanied by several senior SVAB members after giving a patient hearing to War Heroes resolved many issues then and there with the help of senior officers, responsible for various Directorates.
With this, the series of mobile services conducted by SVAB came to an end. These mobile services provided solutions to many issues pertaining to War Heroes. The SVAB during this entire project has donated more than Rs.15 million to fulfill requirements of those disabled War Heroes. The SVAB plans to organize similar mobile services to resolve problems of other serving soldiers in the near future.
The Commanding Officer, Regimental Headquarters Squadron SLAC Lieutenant Colonel Sisira Dharmasena presented a memento to Mrs. Jayasuriya to mark her visit to the Regiment.
The SVAB conducted a similar Mobile Service at Army Cantonment Panagoda, the previous day (6) to resolve issues of War Heroes of Sri Lanka Artillery, Sri Lanka Engineers, Sri Lanka Signals Corps, Military Intelligence Corps, Sri Lanka Army Service Corps and Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps.
