Army troops serving the 52 Division recently donated a large stock of school accessories and gift parcels to 160 selected students from low-income group families in Varani, Jaffna.
Those school-goers living in the 522 Brigade area were gifted with packets containing, school accessories, books, clothes and a school bag, all to the value of Rs 1500.00 each during the brief ceremony at Vidaththathapalai Kamalasani Vidyalaya.
On the same occasion, 25 teachers were gifted 25 wall clocks, each worth Rs 1000.00 in the ceremony, headed by Brigadier W.A.V.A. Sudasinghe, 52 Division General Officer Commanding.
