Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner for Bangladesh Mr. W.A. Sarath K Waragoda on Saturday (14) hosted a welcome reception to the visiting Sri Lankan Army Chief and his delegation at his official residence. The Sri Lankan delegation, headed by Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, Commander of the Army, together with his spouse, Mrs. Manjulika Jayasuriya President Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB), were welcomed by Mr. Waragoda and his spouse on arrival at the venue.
Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, during the reception exchanged views with his host and thanked him for his coordination work in Bangladesh. As a courtesy practice, the Commander placed his signature in the vistors' book at the High Commission.
Towards the end of the reception, his host presented a symbolic memento to the Army Chief as a formality.
