Troops of the 3 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) and the Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) of the 112 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) offered their labour to paint the class rooms at Gamini Central College, Nuwara Eliya and Buddha statues early this week.
Meanwhile, as per the instructions of the Commander, SFHQ-C, Colonel Commandant of the SLNG, together with 15 SLNG troops assisted to clean and paint 80 Buddha statues at the Sasana Pradeeparama Aaranya in Kiriwaneliya, Hatton on Sunday (8).
In this monastery, more than 50 Buddhist nuns are residing.
