SLNG's Housing Project Builds Three New Houses for Injured War Heroes

A special Housing Project, launched by the Sri Lanka National Guard Regimental HQ at Kurunegala in keeping with the conceptual concept of General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID -19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), erected 3 new houses for differently-able SLNG soldiers who sustained battlefield injuries before May 2009.

On the directions of Major General Jayashantha Gamage, Colonel of the Regiment, SLNG and Military Secretary, 3 new houses, sponsored by both Army HQ and RHQ SLNG funds were constructed under the supervision and efforts of the RFT Battalion,1 SLNG and 5 SLNG troops on behalf of injured War Heroes, Lance Corporal P.D.T Priyadarshana, Private G. H. N Dissanayake and Private Chaminda Kumara of the SLNG. Each house cost Rs 1.5 million for the SLNG.

Major General Jayashantha Gamage as the Chief Guest, amid religious blessings, invoked by members of the Maha Sangha, delivered keys to the beneficiaries at respective places on Sunday (3) in the presence of the SLNG Centre Commandant, officers and soldiers. best Running shoes brand | Shop: Nike
