Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) ruggerites registered victory against Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School, Diyatalawa by thrilling 24 points (two tries and two goals) to 3 for Happy Valley Challenge Trophy at Polo Grounds, Diyatalawa on Saturday (26).
This friendly match was organized by the SLMA to strengthen bonds of goodwill between Officer Cadets of both institutions.
The chief guest for the Happy Valley Rugby Encounter – 2014 was Major General P.P De Silva, Commandant, Army Training Command who awarded the trophy to the wining SLMA team.
Brigadier Indunil Ranasinghe, Commandant, SLMA, Wing Commander G.P.N.C Piyasena, Officer Commanding Training, Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School distributed certificates to the participants.
Officers’ instructors, other ranks’ instructors and Officer Cadets from both institutions witnessed the tussle.
