SLMA with its Muslim Cadet Officers Mark 'Ifthar'


Foreign Officer Cadets from Maldives and Sudan, together with their course mates at the Army’s premier seat of learning, the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) at Diyatalawa, joined hands together to mark  ‘Ifthar’ (fast–breaking) ritual of the Muslims on Wednesday (23).

‘Ifthar’ ritual was organized by Mr. A.S Azeem, Tamil instructor at SLMA with the cooperation of  Brigadier Indunil Ranasinghe, Commandant, SLMA.

Brigadier Indunil Ranasinghe attended the occasion as the chief guest, together with Heads of all SLMA wings, officer instructors and Muslims working in the SLMA.

 4 Islamic religious leaders, headed by Moulavi, Mohamed Mumthas and Moulavi Rahumany of the Arabic College, Kahagolla were present at the occasion as special invitees.
