The 18th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and Additional Director of Project Management Unit of Defence Headquarters Complex Projects, Major General Kumara Peiris made his first official visit to the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering (SLSME) at Thunkama, Embilipitiya on Friday (22).
The Commandant SLSME, Colonel C.D Wickramanayake warmly welcomed the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers to the location. The visit was followed by the Troop Address. During the address, the Colonel Commandant emphasized the importance of prevention from COVID-19 pandemic and the importance of Army professionalism at this critical time.
Further, he recalled his experiences as the instructor at the SLSME and recalled memories of all fallen Officers and Other Ranks who made the supreme sacrifice for the sake of the motherland.
