SLAVF Commandant Meets Training School Staff at Diyatalawa

Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) made his first official visit to the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Training School (SLAVFTS) at Diyatalawa on Friday (26) upon his assumption of his office as the Commandant of the SLAVF.

Colonel H.A Keerthinatha, Commandant, SLAVFTS welcomed him and invited him to receive military honours in the Guard Turnout and the subsequent Guard of Honour parade.

During his stay, the SLAVF Commandant laid the foundation stone for construction of a Facility Welfare Complex in the SLAVFTS amid blessings of the Maha Sangha. Afterwards, he was invited to leave memories by planting a ‘Mee’ sapling before he undertook a field visit inside the school premises.

During discussions, possibilities of further improvements to the SLAVFTS infrastructure were taken up to be in line with the Sri Lanka Army’s Way Forward Strategy 2020-2025, set out by the Commander of the Army.

Towards the conclusion of the visit, the visiting SLAVFTS addressed the troops and visited training areas and inspected the proposed SLAVFTS new mess hall for officers. He also met Commander, Security Forces - Central and Senior Officers of the SLAVF and Security Force HQ - Central before he concluded the visit. latest Nike release | Sneakers
