The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) presented military honours and warm greetings to the newly promoted Major Generals, Major General Shiran Abeysekera and Major General Ajith Kolambathantri during a formal ceremony, held on Sunday (21) at the SLA Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.
Featuring the traditional event, first, they reviewed the Guard Turnout presented by the Regimental Headquarters and accepted the regimental salute accorded by a Guard of Honour, presented by the Regiment. After that, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Artillery invited newly promoted Major Generals to his office and extended his best wishes on behalf of all Officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment.
