Sinha Regiment's 'Elsa' Celebrates Its Third Year Birthday with Cake-Cutting

The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) Regimental Headquarters at Ambepussa, attaching its quality of sharing and caring for the SLSR's dearly loved mascot 'Elsa', the lioness cub who turned three years old on Friday (22) celebrated its birthday with a difference, attended by the SLSR Centre Commandant, Brigadier Dammika Dissanayake, Officers and Other Ranks including its caretakers.

An artificially-designed 'meat' cake of about two feet in height, stuffed with pieces of meat, instead of icing sugar and wheat flour, added the symbolic 'birthday party' atmosphere in front of the lioness who went on sniffing around the cake when it was cut by the Centre Commandant amid rounds of applause. The Centre Commandant at first cut the birthday cake as the gathering began recital of the birthday greetings and fed the lioness cub with the first piece of meat to mark its 3rd year birthday anniversary.
