Troops of 2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) under the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) recently distributed gift parcels of school accessories to kids at Singithi Pre-school, Sooriyawewa, Sinhapura.
Each parcel carried items worth of Rs 2,000/= and the donation was done after selecting the children from very low-income group families. After the donation, those children were treated to lunch by the soldiers of the 2 SLSC.
In the meantime, troops of 16 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) of 241 Brigade serving the 24 Division area under the Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ-E) conducted a cricket tournament at Ampara public ground on Sunday (11).
Cricket teams from schools and sports clubs in Ampara area took part in the tournament.
