Jaffna and East Security Forces Headquarters (SFHQs) on account of X’mas festival conducted separate Carol, Prayer services and choirs during the season.
55 Division Headquarters in Vettalakerny, covering Kevil and Kadaikadu village areas launched a mobile Carol service with the participation of a Santa Claus during December 24 – 25. Distribution of gifts among civilians and children during pauses while the float was moving evoked fun and interest throughout the whole night.
Meanwhile, 231 Brigade with the support of all battalions in the area conducted a X’mas Carol service on Friday (28) at Devanayagam Memorial Hall at Batticaloa.
The Army choir, together with several choirs of different churches in Batticaloa and Ampara Districts sang hymns in praise of God during the arrangement.
