Security Forces Headquarters – Wanni (SFHQ-W) commenced its work in the New Year after reading out the state service commitment pledge before the customary tea party.
Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W at the outset of the day’s formalities raised the national flag, together with the hoisting of the SFHQ-W flag by Brigadier General Staff at SFHQ-W before the state service commitment pledge was read out. Afterwards, the Wanni Commander addressed the gathering and urged them to work harder during the incoming year.
At the same occasion, a stock of books, donated to the SFHQ-W by Library Services Board was made available to the SFHQ-W library by the Wanni Commander with the objective of improving the habit of reading among young soldiers.
Brigadier R.K.B.S Ketakumbura, senior officers and gathering attended the occasion.
