To coincide with the 72nd Army anniversary, Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Commander, Security Forces - East, joined the distribution of repaired and refurbished vehicles for use among troops serving the Forward Maintenance Area - East and battalions under command to the Security Force Headquarters - East on Saturday (9).
Accordingly, 21 such vehicles including jeeps, cabs, vans, buses, trucks, tractors and bowsers were repaired and refurbished by troops of 3 Sri Lanka Army Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) at the request of the Commander, SF-East.
Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - East, Major General Mahesh Abeyrathna, Commanding Officer of 3 Sri Lanka Army Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, Major Kolitha Almeida, Officers and troops were present during the handover ceremony.
