Security Forces Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E), giving a push to the ongoing ‘Api Wawamu Rata Nagamu’ cultivation programme of the Ministry of Agriculture recently distributed a large stock of coconut saplings among villagers at Sippimadu, Unnachchiya, Rasthunenagar, Pawakodichchena, Wallawadian, Korakalimaduby and a few more villages.
Troops of the 12 (V) Sri Lanka Artillery active took part in the programmes on the instructions of the SFHQ-E.
On November 21 - 22, same troops conducted a Shramadana campaign and a Tsunami preparation rehearsal in Korakalimaduby and Kombathurai Pullayar Kovil areas with the participation of civilians in the area.
