Security Forces Headquarters, East (SFHQ-E), giving prominence to community projects, built a new house for a low-income group at Hingurakgoda Church road.
It was handed over to the family by 223 Brigade Headquarters after the erection was completed by the troops with the sponsorship provided by the Hingurakgoda Association of businessmen.
Meanwhile, the 223 Brigade at the request of health authorities conducted blood donation campaign in response to a request of the hospital.
In the meantime, troops serving the area visited the children’s home for orphans (Bosath Lama Niwasa) at Hingurakgoda and served them lunch and gift items. On the same day troops helped the construction of the electric fence at Pasiyawewa village for protection of civilians from elephant attacks.
