Giving prominence to religious ceremonies, the Security Forces Headquarters-Central (SFHQ-C) celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a series of events during March 12-13.
A Bodhi Pooja programme was organized to invoke blessings on all Army personnel serving under the Security Forces Headquarters (SFHQ-C) premises on 12 March with the participation of Major General Sumedha Perera, Commander, SFHQ-C.
Venerable Premananda Thero from the Patients’ Care Centre, Badulla Hospital delivered a Dhamma sermon during the Bodhi Pooja Pinkama.
On 13 March, the newly-built kitchen, Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess, Non-Commissioned Officers and the Other Ranks’ Mess of the SFHQ-C were declared opened by the Commander, SFHQ-C. An all rank lunch followed the programme. Senior Officers and other rankers also participated in these events.
