515 Brigade troops of the 51 Division considering hardships of the poor people in the area under their purview using their own money distributed more than 30 dry ration packs among the most deserving in Sandilipay and Tellippalai areas on Saturday (11).
Since their bread-winners could not find any piecemeal jobs in the areas due to curfew, they were largely dependent on welfare reliefs being provided through Samurdhi and other state agencies.
