Remains of Missing Person Recovered

Troops of the 112 Brigade and Special Forces (SF) who have been engaged in the extensive search for the missing victim, Mr Dinura Wijesundara who had joined a camping excursion on Saturday (6) with 11 more persons, just a couple of hours ago on Tuesday (9) recovered the remains of the victim from a depth of about 1200 ft of the precipice, known as the Little World’s End.

The search operations commenced on Sunday (7) continued on the instructions of General Shavendra Silva, Colonel of the Regiment, SF, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army and Major General Kumara Jayapathirana, Commander, Security Forces-Central.
