55 Division Headquarters in Jaffna commemorated Army Day and 63rd Anniversary after raising the 55 Division flag and reading out the Army Chief’s Army Day message.
Arrangements, organized under the directions of Brigadier B.H.M.A Wijesinghe, General Officer Commanding, 55 Division at Vettalkerni, Jaffna included a special Hindu Pooja at Palay Amman Hindu Temple, Launch of a Dengue eradication programme around Kaddeikadu junction, Distribution of lunch packets among little children and an all rank lunch inside the 55 Division Headquarters premises.
