Mr V.T Jayanthan, Principal, Vayavilan Central College, Jaffna in a letter to the Commander, Major General Jagath Alwis Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J), has thanked the troops for assistance given for renovation of the school playground and also the training support the Cadet platoon of the college received.
Troops of the 7 Gajaba Regiment (GR) of the SFHQ-J completely restored and renovated the College playground at the request of the Principal since arrangements were underway to hold the annual sports meet on 31 January 2015.
Major General Alwis after sending those troops, prior to the sports meet day, trained the students in the Cadet platoon and made them ready for the grand event with no cost to the college at the invitation of the Principal.
‘We are happy to extend our sincere thanks to your fullest support and assistance for renovating our school play ground and sending your representative to be with us which encouraged our students a lot in our school sports meet which was held on 31 January 2015 we appreciate your timely help which will never be forgettable’, the letter signed by the Principal stated.
