Positive Cases Stand at 58,429 as of Sunday (24) - NOCPCO

As of this morning (25), a total of 843 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them 2 are Sri Lankan expatriates and all others are locally-identified ones, including the majority 480 from Colombo district, 86 from Gampaha district, 72 from Kalutara district and other 203 from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (25), a total of 58,429 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 49,683 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 8,463 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (25), 423 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres in the past 24 hours. Three more deaths have been reported from Maradana, Colombo 14 and Pujapitiya areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 283 by this morning (25).
