A section of the students at Alagapuri Primary School and Carita Convent at Ramanadhapuram on Monday (16) received incentives for education, following coordination done by both 572 Brigade Headquarters and 12 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops serving the area.
Sponsorship of Mr Ravindra Wakella, a donor from Pannipitiya, Kottawa thus distributed 90 packs, containing stationery and school accessories among 70 children of Alagapuri Primary School and 20 children at Carita Convent at Ramanadhapuram. Each pack was worth about Rs 1500/=.
Mr Wakella, 12 SLSR Commanding Officer, Convent’s Sister, Principal at Alagapuri Primary School, teachers and students attended the distribution event.
