Pangolla 'Abimansala 3' Under Construction Receives Soldiers' Patronage

Broad-hearted soldiers of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) and those serving the Security Force Headquarters- Wanni (SFHQ-W), making a magnanimous gesture of considerateness towards permanently-dependent War Heroes who are to be housed in the Pangolla ‘Abimansala 3’ under construction, offered their share to the ‘Brave Hearts’ project, donating a joint sum of Rs. 11 million Friday (8) morning.

Major General Boniface Perera, Security Force Commander - Wanni, who is also the Colonel of the Regiment, SLSR after meeting the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya at his office in the Army Headquarters presented the cheque to the value of Rs. 11 million towards the construction cost of the wellness resort in progress in the North-Western Province.

Officers and soldiers of the SLSR have succeeded in collecting Rs. 7 million separately while the troops serving the SFHQ-W showed their goodwill by donating a sum of Rs. 4 million for this meritorious project, pioneered by the Commander of the Army for the benefit of about 50 plus North-Western Province-based dependent War Heroes in the Army on the directions of HE the President and Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary Defence and Urban Development.

Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya acknowledged the donation with gratitude from the donor on behalf of the ‘Brave Hearts’ project of the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB), engaged in raising funds for its construction.
