Over 300 Students in Kilinochchi Children's Homes Given School Incentives

As a supportive measure for uplifting the educational standards of students in Kilinochchi area, the Security Force HQ-Kilinochchi on Sunday (3) gave away school accessories, reading books and incentives to 300 needy students in orphanges after Colombo-based philanthropists, Mr Suren De Silva and his family members at the request of Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Commander, Security Forces- Kilinochchi and Mrs Shamini Kotuwegoda, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment Seva Vanitha Unit sponsored the cost of the stock.

The project covered those children at Mahadeva Swamigal Children's Home and Arivichcholai Children's Home after authorities brought the need to the attention of the SFHQ-KLN. Colonel General Staff at the SFHQ-KLN Colonel Anil Somaweera, Colonel Sanjaya Wanasekara and Lieutenant Colonel P Vithanage jointly made all arrangements in this regard to make the event a success. Major General Kotuwegoda, Mrs Kotuwegoda, representatives of the donors and several invitees joined the distribution.

Major General Senarath Yapa, General Officer Commanding of the 57 Division, Colonel Dammika Welagedara, Commander 571 Brigade, Senior Staff Officers of the SFHQ KLN and Lieutenant Colonel P.
