2 Commando Regiment (CR) troops in Kakativu Island Mannar last night (9) recovered a stock of smuggled turmeric during a domination patrol in Kakativu Island area.
The 437.5 kg stock of raw turmeric was worth about Rs 3 million. The contraband was handed over to Kakativu Police for further investigations.
