Forty school prefects from Oddusudan Divisional Secretariat area, Mullaittivu, together with their teachers and parents, enjoyed the hospitality of southerners for three days when they were recently taken on a picnic by 64 Infantry Division Headquarters under the Security Forces Headquarters, Mullaittivu.
Those children on arrival in Colombo visited Colombo Ananda College, Standard Chartered Bank, Zoo, NDB Bank, Gangaramaya Temple, Wellawatta Hindu Kovil and its Museum, Vihara Mahadevi Park and a few other places of tourist attractions.
The gesture of goodwill aimed at further promoting mutual understanding, reconciliation and cooperation between the North and the South, came in for praise of the authorities and all those who took part in the tour.
