Now, 552 Brigade Imparts English Knowledge to Deserving Students in Jaffna

Giving more weight and inspiration to the Security Force HQ- Jaffna's ongoing 'English Teaching Project' for deserving students in the peninsula, the 552 Brigade HQ as per guidelines given by the General Officer Commanding, 55 Division recently inaugurated one more phase to teach English to a group of 75 children in the general areas of Kaddeikadu, Pallai, Iyakkachchi after inviting them to the 1 Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) camp at Iyakkachchi, Jaffna.

This community project undertaken after the conceptual guidance was given by the Jaffna Commander was implemented by Major General Prasanna Gunaratne, General Officer Commanding of the 55 Infantry Division in close cooperation with Brigadier Wijayanath Jayaweera, Commander, 552 Brigade of the 55 Division.

The Course that began earlier in the year 2022 has 75 children in different categories to match with their standards in respective schools and Captain Roshni Ranasinghe, English Instructor at the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna is in charge of the language Course for its conduct as another Civil-Military Cooperation project in the peninsula.
