Colonel Wasantha Hewage who has been appointed the new Brigade Commander of the 233 Brigade in the 23 Division under command to the Security Force HQ- East a few days ago began his duties at his office in Vakare during a brief ceremony.
The newly-appointed Brigade Commander left his signature for an official document to signify the formal acceptance of the new appointment.
After the assumption of office, Colonel Hewage addressed the troops and joined all ranks for tea.
