Nine More Deaths in Past 24 Hours - NOCPCO

As of this morning (9), a total of 887 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 9 are Sri Lankan expatriates and other 878 are locally-identified ones, including the majority 214 from Colombo district, 208 from Gampaha district, 181 from Badulla district and 275 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (9), a total of 70,234 persons, inclusive of 66,730 of the fish market have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 64,140 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 5,729 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

In the past 24 hours, 740 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 9 more deaths have been reported from Gurudeniya, Colombo 15, Colombo 12, Negombo, Kayts, Kurunegala, Horana, Anuradhapura and Mawanella areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 365 by this morning (9).

As of this morning (9), 9,025 persons in 94 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (8), 12,145 PCR tests have been conducted. Sneakers Store | Nike News
