Nigerian Delegation to Learn Welfare Systems in Sri Lankan Tri Services

An eleven-member delegation from the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), currently in Sri Lanka on a study tour, called on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake Tuesday (2) morning at Army Headquarters.
 
Headed by Air Vice Marshal M.R Morgan of the Nigerian Air Force, the delegation was anxious to learn about the Sri Lankan Army welfare model and how it functions for the best interests of the soldiers.
 
The delegation included officials from Nigerian Ministry of Defence, Nigerian Defence Headquarters, Nigerian Army and a few other representatives.
 
During their four-day stay in Sri Lanka, the delegation is to call at the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, Navy Headquarters and Air Force Headquarters where the delegation is expected to receive extensive knowledge on respective welfare systems in detail.
 
Tuesday’s visit to the Army Headquarters culminated with exchange of mementos.  
 
Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Adjutant General, Major General Amal Karunasekara, Military Secretary and a few senior officers were associated with the meeting.
