The recently-appointed Commander, Security Forces – Wanni, Major General Hemantha Bandara visited the 21 Division HQ at Anuradhapura and its under command Brigades and Battalions during 21-22 January in Anuradhapura area.
During visits to the 21 Division Headquarters, 213 Brigade, Regional Ordnance Depot- Gajasinghapura, 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), 5 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG), 7 (V) Sri Lanka Armourd Crops (SLAC), 211 Brigade Headquarters, 2 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) and 2 Mechanized Infantry Regiment camps in the area, he was welcomed by the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 21 Infantry Division, Major General Vikum Liyanage, 211 Brigade Commander and other Commanding Officers at respective camps.
He was honoured in Guards Turnout and invited to plant saplings at Division premises and received briefings on role & tasks of those units before he addressed troops in respective locations.
