The newly-established small arms simulator laboratory in the Sri Lanka Army Recruit Training Centre (SLARTC) in Puttalam, designed for training purposes was declared open by Lieutenant Colonel K.M.D.I.P Kamalgoda, Commandant, SLARTC on Monday (8).
The plan to establish this new laboratory was implemented on the directions of Major General Priyanka Fernando, Director General General Staff of the Army Headquarters when he was serving Puttalam area several months ago.
This laboratory that could train three recruits for firing sessions at a time has also been computerized enabling the recruits to receive a thorough knowledge on the use of the weapon, its make, technical aspects, target taking, etc.
At present, a total of about 700 recruits are under training at recruiting centres of the Army in Puttalam region. Running sneakers | Nike News
