New SLEME Colonel Commandant, Brig Indu Samarakoon Takes Office

Brigadier Indu Samarakoon assumed duties as the 10th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) during a formal ceremony, held on Tuesday (12) at the Regimental Headquarters - SLEME in Colombo 2.

He holds the appointment as Director Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (DEME) at the AHQ in addition to his new appointment.

The newly-appointed Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier Nilam Herath on his arrival and invited him to review the Guard Turnout and the Guard of Honour presented in his honour by the troops in accordance with military traditions.

It followed a troop address and an all-rank tea with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks.
