New GOC Familiarizes with His Formations Under the Division

The General Officer Commanding of the 66 Division Major General Ajith Dissanayake made his maiden official visits to the 663 Brigade and under command battalions of 11 (V) Gajaba Regiment and 2 Sri Lanka National Guard on Friday (22).

The GOC was warmly welcomed by the Commander 661 Brigade Brigadier Subashan Liyanagama on arrival at the Brigade Headquarters after a ceremonial drive-past Guard Turnout greeted him. Subsequently, Brigade Commander and Commanding Officers of under command Battalions presented separate briefings on operational aspects of those troops.

Afterwards, the GOC planted a sapling to symbolize the visit at the 663 Brigade premises and addressed a cross-section of troops at the lecture hall of the Brigade Headquarters.
