Brigadier Ranjan Jayasekara of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) assumed office on Wednesday (23) as the 18th Director, Directorate of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (DEME) at the Army Headquarters during a brief ceremony.
After brief religious observances, the newly-appointed Director Electrical and Mechanical Engineering left his signature in an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office.
Staff Officers in the Directorate and Other Ranks attended the inauguration of the new office.
He succeeded Major General Deepal Hathurusinghe who has now been appointed as Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Central
Brigadier Ranjith Jayasekara served as the Commandant, Army School of Logistics prior to his new appointment.
