New Commander Pays Courtesy Call on President


The newly-appointed Commander of the Army Lieutenant General A.W.J. Crishanthe De Silva Tuesday (24) afternoon paid a courtesy call on HE the President Maithripala Sirisena, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces at the President’s Secretariat after assumption of office as Commander of the Army at the Army Headquarters.

Lieutenant General De Silva signifying the importance of the audience, presented a symbolic memento to the President and received his blessings and best wishes on the appointment.

Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva on Monday (23) assumed office as the 21st Commander of the Army during a ceremony at the Army Headquarters.
