Brigadier M.K.D.P Mapalagama psc of the Gemunu Watch assumed duties as the new Commandant of the Army Training School (ATS), Maduru Oya on 21 October 2024, amidst religious observances and military formalities.
Upon his arrival, he was welcomed in a Guard Turnout at the entrance. Following religious blessings, he officially assumed duties by signing an official document. To mark the occasion, he planted a ‘Naa sapling’ in the ATS premises and later addressed the troops.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of the ATS participated in the event.
