New Chief of Staff at CDS’ Office Commences Duties

Major General Priyantha Gamage of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) assumed office as the Chief of Staff at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS) at BMICH premises on Monday (19) amidst religious blessings.

After brief religious observances, he placed his signature for an official document and symbolized the acceptance of the new office. Staff officers at the OCDS and several Other Ranks attended the occasion and extended their best wishes.

He was the Director General General Staff of the OCDS before he took over the new office.

He succeeds Major General Ajith Pallawela who recently retired from the Army.
