Colonel Subhath Sanjeewa assumed duties as the 22nd Commander of the Air Mobile Brigade HQ at Vellankulam in Vavuniya, amid religious blessings and formalities on Thursday (17).
The newly-appointed Commander of the Airmobile Brigade was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honoured in a Guard Turnout, presented by 12 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops. Afterwards, Colonel Subhath Sanjeewa placed his signature in an official document to mark his assumption of duties in the presence of a few Senior Officers.
Colonel Subhath Sanjeewa, prior to this new appointment served in the Security Force HQ-East as the Colonel General Staff.
An All Rank tea, planting of a sapling and the formal address to the Officers and Other Ranks culminated the day’s proceedings. Commanding Officers and Brigade staff were present at the occasion.
