Major General Swarna Bothota assumed office as the 34th Adjutant General of the Army Headquarters on Thursday (5) during a simple ceremony.
The new Adjutant General left his signature for an official document, amidst religious observances and symbolized the acceptance of the new appointment. Staff officers of the Branch, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the occasion.
Major General Swarna Bothota held the appointment of General Officer Commanding, 61 Division, prior to this appointment. He succeeds Major General Deepal Pussella who has now been appointed as the Commander, Security Forces - West.
