Brigadier Sajith Liyanage of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) assumed duties as the new Commander of the 143 Brigade amid religious observances on Thursday (22) during a simple ceremony at the Brigade Headquarters at Thabbowa.
On his arrival, troops welcomed him and greeted him to a Guard Turnout at the main entrance of the Brigade headquarters. Afterwards, the newly-appointed Brigade Commander planted a sapling as a symbol of memory before he joined an all rank tea.
