Sri Lankan Association of Netherlands-based academics, in coordination with Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W), have offered their assistance for implementation of a low-scale loan scheme in Wanni for betterment of economic conditions of poor civilians.
In order to provide office-bearers of those community-based committees proper knowledge and implementation of the low-scale loan project, these academics on Thursday (29) had a round of discussions at the Government Tamil Mixed School at Wannamotai, Mannar, situated in the 542 Brigade Headquarters area.
50 community leaders of those committees, representing 7 organizations, together with 5 representatives from the Netherlands discussed modalities regarding distribution of those proposed loans among civilians.
5 representatives from the Netherlands, 21, 54 and 61 Division civil coordination officers took part in the discussion.
