Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa, Deputy Chief of Staff assumed office as the 2nd Commandant at the recently-established National Defence College (NDC) at Colombo 3 during a brief ceremony, held at his new office on Thursday (16 March).
The newly-appointed Commandant symbolically left his signature in an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office after the observance of religious blessings.
Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa succeeds Major General (Retd) Amal Karunasekara.
Staff Officers and Other Ranks in the NDC attended the inauguration of his new office.
