NCOTS at Kalaoya Educates Potential Retirees on Traditional Farming

Non-Commissioned Officers Training School (NCOTS) at Kalaoya, Saliyawewa recently introduced the new ‘Spiritual Bio-Dynamic Traditional Farming Agriculture’ course for potential Army retirees in the future with the objective of arming them with knowledge for a vocation after retirement.

The ongoing 60-day long special course, followed by 18 Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs), has been organized by this school in coordination with the support of the Sobadaham Farm and the Sanasa, Ukuwela on the directions of the Commandant, following instructions, extended by the Army Headquarters.

The inaugural occasion of the course saw Mr K.G.J Abeysooriya, Chairman, Sobadaham Farm, Mr Menaka Harshan Dasanayake, Human Resource Manager, Sanasa, Ukuwela, course instructors, NCOTS Commandant and several other invitees, attend the brief ceremony in the final week of March.

Sri Lanka Army on the directions of the Commander of the Army has launched a programme to impart knowledge on various vocational openings for potential Army retirees after their 22 years of military service.
