At the request of Security Forces Headquarters, Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT), the ‘Foundation of Goodness’ headed by Mr Kushil Gunasekara, the founding trustee of the organization, came forward to gift a total of 155 push bicycles among most deserving sections resident under the AGA Division in Oddusuddan.
Major General L.B.R Mark, Commander, SFHQ-MLT, in consultation with the Oddusuddan Assistant Government Agent and Grama Niladari (village-level state officials), selected 104 school students, 42 widows, 8 teachers and one journalist as potential recipients of those push bicycles, considering several criteria.
The ceremony for distribution of those push bicycles free of charge took place recently at Oddusuddan School premises before a large gathering of civilians, including next of kin of the beneficiaries.
