A recent football tournament between members of the Army and civil footballers at Alampil grounds in Mullaittivu, following preparations made by 59 Division Headquarters, drew a huge enthusiasm and civil participation.
The full-day tournament, meant to further promote goodwill and harmony among all ethnicities in the area, was attended by Major General L.B.R. Mark, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Mullaittivu.
Brigadier G.R.H. Dias, General Officer Commanding, 59 Division, senior officers and a large crowd of sports-lovers witnessed the tournament.
