Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa, Chairperson at the Seva Vanitha Unit, Ministry of Defence (MoD), on Friday (26 Nov) inspected the progress of the construction work of the house under construction for Lance Corporal H.M.D.M.B Herath of 1 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment in Nikaweratiya.
One of Sri Lanka's highly reputed Gynecologists, Dr. Ajith Rajapaksa along with members of his family has pledged support for this noble project, providing monetary assistance for the entire construction of the new house.
Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa, together with MoD Seva Vanitha Unit officials and Mrs Neelika Rajapaksa, the wife of Dr Ajith Rajapaksa during the inspection tour to the construction site at Maha Girilla, Nikaweratiya in Kurunegala district, had a glimpse into it and discussed its future work with authorities responsible for the project.
