Another total of 200 drought-hit families in Kalyanipura Phase I, Phase II and Phase III in Vavuniya received dry ration packets and drinking water bottles, sponsored by Rev Fr Sanjeewa of Padaviya in conjunction with the priest of Waga Parish on August, 25.
The arrangement coordinated by the 62 Division was supported by the Commanding Officer of 17 Sri Lanka National Guard (17 SLNG). On the directions of Brigadier K.G.D Perera, General Officer Commanding, 62 Division, troops supported the priests for distribution of those relief items among the affected.
Meanwhile, on Thursday (28) the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) repeated their humanitarian assistance and provided more water to the civilians, resident under the SFHQ-C.
